Peninsula media reporter Li Hongmei correspondent Wang Nuodai Wei learned from Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment that during the Spring Festival of 2022 (From January 31 to February 6), Qingdao urban air quality maintained a good level, the rate of good air quality was 100%, the same as last Year’s Spring Festival, 20 percentage points better than the Spring Festival of the previous year.It is understood that during the Spring Festival, Qingdao pollutants meteorological diffusion conditions are generally more favorable. At the same time, the public awareness of environmental protection, the city’s fireworks forbidden zone supervision and non-forbidden zone publicity and guidance to further increase, urban air quality to maintain a good level, fireworks ban on air quality improvement effect is significant. From the average concentration of pollutants associated with setting off fireworks,The average concentrations of inhalable particulate matter (PM2.5), fine particulate matter (PM10), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and carbon monoxide (CO) in urban air were 33 micrograms per cubic meter, 49 micrograms per cubic meter, 10 micrograms per cubic meter, 21 micrograms per cubic meter and 1.0 micrograms per cubic meter, respectively. The concentrations of the five pollutants all met the second-level national ambient air quality standards, with the concentrations of SO2, NO2 and CO meeting the first-level standards. The concentration of PM2.5 did not increase significantly.Compared with the 2020 Spring Festival period (From January 24 to February 2) when the ban on fireworks was just implemented, the average concentration of PM2.5, PM10 and CO in urban areas decreased by 41.4%, 34.7% and 17.7% respectively, while the average concentration of SO2 remained unchanged year-on-year.
